At PLUS ES, safety is not negotiable — it’s our core value. Every project we deliver, whether in BESS, EV charging, metering, fibre, or high-voltage infrastructure, begins and ends with a commitment to protect people, communities, and the environment.
Safety is at the heart of everything we do at PLUS ES. We take the safety of our staff, contractors and the public seriously, and have robust systems, processes and organisational culture to ensure risks are appropriately managed.
We make it clear that we all have permission to pause if we find any safety concerns. We are all fully authorised and responsible to pause any activity that cannot be undertaken safely, at any time.
Through our robust safety management systems and processes, we ensure we support our teams to remain healthy and safe while they are at work. We also provide support if issues arise along the way.
We are certified to ISO45001 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems), which ensures our Safety Management System meets international standards for reduction of occupational injuries and diseases, and is also implemented effectively.
One of the key means which we have developed to keep our people safe is our Fatal Risks and Critical Control Framework. We have teamed up with experts in the risk field to review both past incident and wider industry data to identify which risks are most likely to cause material harm (fatal risks) and controls which have the biggest impact in managing our fatal risks. They are our minimum standards when we are performing high risk work. We continue to review and amend our critical control management framework in consultation with our teams, as we receive new information.
